With a pedigree spanning over 12 generations, every dog in our breeding program must prove their competence in the field, working with both cattle and sheep.
As time has advanced, our focus on selection and training has evolved, centring around qualities essential for working with cattle—strength and calmness—while maintaining proficiency in handling sheep. This involves producing dogs that position themselves in the right place for what the handler wants to accomplish. They need to have the ability to read their stock and to keep stock flowing.
Our overarching aim is directed towards enhancing traits crucial for the tasks at hand: strength, calmness, and practicality.

Contract Stock Breaking-In Service
Educated stock are essential for productive performance, animal welfare and handler safety. We are offering a livestock education service that allows primary producers to concentrate their abilities elsewhere on the farm while their animals are animals broken in.
Our Working Dogs
Macelbri Pant
Pant is an all-rounder who excels with any class of livestock. Offers excellent cover for sheep and goats while still free backing. Works cattle well, will grab a cow on the nose. Demonstrating great feel and the ability to take control when needed. Great temperament, good traveller and tough.
Macelbri Chika
Chika is clean on sheep, classy, and a natural free backer. A silent worker with a strong head bite, she's calm, smart, and driven. Great in the bush with a top temperament and breeding on well.
Macelbri Nydoo
Nydoo has a great temperament and is a natural worker. Smart on her feet with an ability for being in the right spot. Good cast, strong feel for stock, backs willingly, quiet on cattle, and head bites. Will handle goats with ease.
Macelbri Hoop
Hoop is out of a strong bitch Macelbri Roll and by Capree Red. Super classy and clean on sheep. She is an athletic bitch with a natural kick out on stock and a good traveller.
Glenfaba Zu
Zu is an athletic, good travelling bitch with a good head bite on cattle. She is very loyal and gives all. A bit plainer in her work with sheep but calm and strong.
Working Dogs Clinics
One Day Clinics
Our clinics of around 8-10 handlers endeavour to improve both the handler and their dogs understanding of each other and the stock they are working. We take a practical, hands-on approach to enhancing a dog's education and skills.
We can also bring the clinics to you. We are happy to travel to your farm or a convenient central location for a group booking.
One On One Sessions
Our one-on-one sessions are designed to foster a deeper connection between you, your dog, and the stock you're working. With a practical, hands-on approach, we focus on improving communication and teamwork, helping both handler and dog to work more effectively and confidently in any situation.
These personalised sessions allow us to tailor the training to your unique needs, ensuring you and your dog develop the skills necessary to succeed. Whether you're just starting or refining advanced techniques, our one-on-one sessions provide the guidance and support to build a stronger partnership and achieve your goals.

By Glenfaba Skid out of a Capree Blue III bitch. A dark yellow, good travelling, tough dog who bites cattle on the head. Adds toughness and athleticism to his pups.
Macelbri Max
A black and tan dog with a hard head bite on cattle. Adds touch, type and the ability to turn up in the right spots to his progeny.
Bells Buck
A black and tan dog out of a good bitch line. One of the stronger dogs about. All head bite, adds plenty of strength and walk up and good temperament.

These dogs have been integral to our breeding and training programs.
They leave behind a legacy of loyalty, skill, and genetics as well as athleticism, toughness and longevity at work. Their influence continues to shape the future generations of our working dogs.
Capree Blue III
Outstanding work dog on any class of livestock, any number or type. Tough, strong and terrific work ethic. Athletic enough to avoid injuries but worked in the front line. Blue handled a lot of tough cattle yet sustained only minor injuries in a 10 year work life. Had a good nose bite, quiet on cattle yet could work sheep and goats inside and outside the yards. Free backer on sheep. His genetics flows through most of our dogs.
Glenfaba Skid
A big yellow dog. Calm and strong and would pull up most cattle by himself, particularly good on cows and calves. Would bite high and hard on the head of cattle yet would not bite a sheep. In conjunction with Capree Blue worked a lot of tough cattle in his10 years and stayed sound most of the time. Injuries only happened with the onset of age as so happens. Has had a big influence on a lot of pedigrees and has bred some good strong bitches and dogs.
Macelbri Roll
Good strong calm bitch with a great temperament. Roll was easy to work, could handle any livestock class and has a pedigree full of great work dogs. She has left an indelible mark on our bitch line.
